Dermal Fillers
As the skin ages we lose collagen, elastin and fat, this gives our skin structure. As these elements of the skin’s structure reduce, our skin becomes thinner, creating wrinkles and lines due to the loss of volume, plumpness and firmness of the skin.
Strategically placed filler can replace the lost fat pads and collagen. This helps to restore the skins volume, and reducing deep static wrinkles, giving the face a firmer, more youthful appearance, due to the hydrophilic (water loving) action of hyaluronic acid.
Dermal fillers are hyaluronic acid based products. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the body meaning adverse reactions are unlikely.
Cheeks
Filler in the cheeks can help to replace lost volume. As we age our faces naturally become square. Filler can add volume, returning the cheeks to a higher, fuller, and more youthful position. Filler in the cheek can also help to support the jawline and the development of jowls.

Anti-wrinkle Injections
Often referred to as Botox®, or botulinum toxin. Anti-wrinkle injections can help to relax specific muscles in the face helping to reduce the appearance of both static and dynamic lines and wrinkles. As well as cosmetic use, botulinum toxin can be used for jawline slimming/teeth grinding, treating excessive sweating (hyperidrosis), and migraines.
During treatment toxin is safely injected into specific muscles, in extremely small therapeutic doses. It works by stopping signals from the nerve cells from reaching the muscles and therefore paralysing them. This is due to the chemical acetylcholine being prohibited from being released from the nerve to the muscle, and therefore reducing the ability of the muscle to contract. The muscle temporarily becomes paralysed until your body breaks down the toxin that has been injected. This causes a reduction in the movement of the skin above the muscle and reduces the formation of lines and appearance of wrinkles.

Skin Boosters
These are injectable treatments that improve the skin texture, elasticity, hydration and overall appearance. Treatment involves injecting hyaluronic acid under the skin, which improves skin elasticity, firmness, radiance and gives an overall glow. By stimulating the production of collagen, skin boosters help to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, producing firmer, younger looking skin, restoring lost volume without looking “over done”. The hyaluronic acid used in skin boosters is not the same as that used in dermal fillers. It is a much more viscous liquid rather than the gel used in dermal fillers. This means that the product is able to spread under the surface of the skin where it immediately starts to work its magic!
At Keswick Aesthetics we use Sunekos 200 and 1200. This is a patented formula of hyaluronic acid and amino acids which help to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, enabling extra cellular regeneration. Sunekos can be used on any skin types and in different parts of the body, including the face, the delicate eye area, neck, decolletage and hands. Microneedling & Mesotherapy
Microneedling is a safe and effective skin rejuvenation treatment to treat various skin conditions and restore the healthy youthful appearance of the skin, by stimulating the natural production of collagen and elastin.
With minimal downtime and no injectables, this non invasive treatment is growing popularity. Microneedling is just as effective as ‘ablative treatments such as laser resurfacing, dermabrasion and deep chemical peels, but less invasive and does not require the removal of the epidermis therefore shorter recovery time.
Microneedling is suitable for all skin types including ethnic skin (subject to testing) and the more delicate areas around the mouth and neck. This treatment can be used to combat fine lines and wrinkles, scars, enlarged pores, pigmentation, sun damage and collagen deficiency.
